Future Collective’s Key Pieces
Let’s get into my top favorite pieces from the latest Target Future Collective with Reese Blutstein.
Tops
It was honestly love at first sight when I tried this top on in the dressing room. This black corset top fits me like a glove and flatters my body shape. I also don’t need to wear a bra with it. It was the perfect basic that I feel like I would wear all year long!
This cropped scoop neck sweater will go with literally any of your bottoms. It’s a great closet essential for a winter capsule wardrobe.
This sheer layering piece is great for a subtle, but sexy peek-a-boo bralette moment. It’s a great way to show off a bralette if you’re too shy or to layer up when it’s cooler.
Short Sleeve V-Neck Corset Top
This feminine V-neck blouse features a sleek lace-up corset waist and a peplum hemline. I love how airy the fabric felt and how snatched my waist looked! I’m obsessed with corsets. I think it would be more flattering if I had a fuller chest top to fill out the top half. Other than that, it’s cute!
Dresses
Off The Shoulder Long Sleeve Midi Dress
I’ve been searching for the perfect cold-weather dress and I found it! I love the off-shoulder cut and the long sleeves that feature a flattering slit at the end. This dress is midi length and would look perfect with a pair of boots.
I couldn’t find the rust color dress in-store so I settled for the light blue color to try on. It’s soo pretty and feminine. I love the off-shoulder cut and the slits at the sleeves. It’s also incredibly comfortable too!
Long Sleeve Chunky Sweater Midi Dress
When it gets cold out, I love to snuggle into chunky sweaters. This sweater dress is the perfect easy, no-brainer outfit that comes in a stunning rust color.
Bottoms
The perfect sweater midi skirt! It features a figure-hugging silhouette, high waist, and two large exposed pockets. Love that it comes in beautiful pastel colors too.
Cargo anything is the trend now and this skirt exemplifies it beautifully. I’m in love with the pencil skirt silhouette with tastefully placed cargo pockets on the sides of the waist and halfway down the skirt. Plenty of room for your essentials. There’s a flattering open slit at the front, which adds a touch of effortless femininity. I’m obsessed with how tailored and minimal it looks.
I particularly love the oversized fit and warm rust color of the shorts. They fit me like a glove and felt soo comfy! A++ I also tried these shorts with the matching blazer and both looked stunning together.
Coats
Front-Tie Notched Lapel Double Breasted Long Coat
Everyone should have at least one double-breasted long coat in their closet. If you don’t, I recommend this one. I love that it comes with a belt to tie it around your waist and the oversized fit. I can see myself pairing it with a pair of ankle booties in the fall and winter.
Faux Shearling Lined Leather Vest
This faux leather jacket comes in a classic dark brown with a shearling lining. It looks great over staple pieces like turtlenecks and basic long-sleeve tops. The perfect layering piece without too much bulk!
Accessories
Let’s not forget about the accessories in the collection. This bag looks designer-worthy with its cute croissant-shaped body. Plus, it comes in a gorgeous red that will surely catch other’s attention.
This baby blue bag is spacious and chic! I’m in love with its shape and multi-pocket design for easy organization.
Style Tips & Inspiration
Here are my favorite outfit combinations using all the Target Future Collective with Reese Blutstein pieces I mentioned above!
Sweetheart Corset Tube Top + Cargo Wrap Midi Skirt
There’s something about this pairing of this sleek corset top with this cargo skirt that makes me squeal with joy. I can’t get over how this pairing perfectly captures a modern yet feminine aesthetic. The cargo pockets add a touch of masculinity, but the corset and pencil skirt shape screams femininity. Ahhh I love it!
Cropped Scoop Neck Sweater + High-Rise Midi Sweater Skirt
I love a cute coordinated look! The cropped sweater and midi sweater skirt are a match made in heaven. They come in cute, wearable pastel colors that can be mixed and matched. I love the look of both the tan top and skirt together. Add in a pair of brown boots and this outfit exudes classy chic (not to mention tastefully warm).
Crewneck Sheer Sweater + Cargo Wrap Midi Skirt
The sheer look is trending like fire these days. I am obsessed with the peek-a-boo bralette moment. There’s nothing sexier than a see-through moment, especially for the winter and fall.
I chose to pair this with the structured cargo midi skirt because I love pairing a soft sweater silhouette with a more structured piece like the cargo skirt. Plus, I love that both pieces come in classic neutral colors that are guaranteed to match.
The Scoop Behind Target’s Future Collective with Reese Blutstein
The August 2023 collection from Target is something special, and you know why? Because it’s a collab with an incredibly talented and creative Atlanta-based fashion guru, Reese Blutstein!
You can catch her vibing on Instagram at @double3xposure – trust me, her style game is top-notch. If you like the modern and classic aesthetic with a hint of trend, you’ll love her style.
This collection? It’s all about Reese’s vintage fashion crush, mixing up colors and drawing inspiration from nature. And lemme tell ya, it’s a jackpot of trendy pieces and must-have basics that you can mix and match like a boss.
We’re talking over a hundred items, from cute dresses to cozy sweaters, tops that pop, outerwear that slays, and skirts for days.
The mix-and-match potential here? Endless! Oh, and the best part? It’s budget-friendly, with prices ranging from $15 to $70, and most stuff is under $35 – a steal for this level of style.
And get this – it’s size-inclusive, catering from XXS to 4X and 00 to 30. No one’s left out in the style game with this collection.
Where to Buy and Pricing
If you’re on the hunt for Target’s epic Future Collective line, you’ve got options – in-store or online, take your pick!
For me, I’m all about that in-store fitting room try-ons. There’s something about trying on each piece in those fitting rooms that makes it a fun and unforgettable experience.
(And can we talk about Target’s fitting rooms? They’re legit the bomb – the lighting, the mirrors, just chef’s kiss. At least, in my Target it is.)
Seriously, nothing beats that in-person try-on experience. Feeling the fabric, and getting the perfect fit – it’s a whole vibe.
Quick tip, though – go as close to the collection launch date as possible. Sizes fly off the shelves, especially the smaller ones like XXS or XS. Pro tip: mark those release dates on your calendar and hustle to the store before they vanish!
But hey, don’t sweat it if you miss out in-store – you can snag ‘em online and either pick them up at the store for free or get them delivered straight to your doorstep.
(Oh, and let me tell you, that Sweetheart Corset Tube top? Had to grab it in size XXS online ‘cause my local Target was tapped out.)
These pieces won’t dent your wallet – we’re talking $15 to $70, and most of it’s under $35! That’s a steal for the quality and style they’re serving up.
Shop online or stop at your local Target to check out Target Future Collective with Reese Blutstein!
